The eighth session of the 15th Zhongshan Municipal People's Congress concluded after the successful completion of various agendas on the morning of February 6.

Wu Jun was elected as deputy director of the Standing Committee of the Zhongshan Municipal People's Congress, and Liu Ruihao was elected as secretary general of the Standing Committee of the Zhongshan Municipal People's Congress. In addition, the work report of the Zhongshan government, Zhongshan's "14th Five-Year Plan", and the "Long-Term Objectives through the Year 2035" were approved by voting.

Additionally, Zhongshan's 2021 top 10 livelihood projects were selected, and a satisfaction evaluation of the completion of livelihood projects in 2020 was conducted. The "Proposal on Accelerating Zhongshan's Construction of Ecological, Livable, Beautiful Countryside", jointly put forward by Chen Yuerong and other 17 deputies, was selected as the primary proposal, and the remaining 73 proposals would be regarded as suggestions, criticisms and opinions, which were submitted to relevant institutions and organizations for research and handling.
