The Zhongshan Frontier Inspection Station of the Zhuhai General Station of Exit and Entry Frontier Inspection of the PRC on February 23 held a farewell ceremony for 4 new policemen who embarked on a journey to Ngari Prefecture, Tibet, a remote and desolate region.
Since the National Immigration Administration in late January issued a call for new recruits to go to remote areas, dozens of young officers in training at the station submitted the application letters to sign up.
After investigation and selection, 4 new recruits, including Ren Huizhao, Huang Langchao, Zhu Ruren and Lai Fuwen, were selected as the first candidates to carry out a half-year practical training in Ngari Prefecture, Tibet. The remaining 6 people will go to frontier regions in Yunnan as the second batch of candidates in August.
"I will set high standards for myself and I will strictly comply with them. I will also dedicate myself to the cause of immigration management." Before leaving, Ren Huizhao made a powerful statement.
With an average altitude of more than 4,500 meters, Ngari Prefecture is known as the "Roof of the World". The main mountains within the region include the Himalayas, Gangdise Mountains and Karakoram Mountains.
