The Fourth Session of the 13th National People's Congress and the Fourth Session of the 13th National Committee of the CPPCC will start in Beijing on March 5 and March 4 respectively. The two Zhongshan-based NPC deputies, Zhang Chuanwei (chairman of Mingyang Group) and Mi Xuemei (customer service director of Royal Family Co), set off for Beijing with the Guangdong delegation on March 3 to attend the upcoming Fourth Session of the 13th National People's Congress.

"I am very excited to speak on the behalf of more than 5 million Zhongshan citizens," said Zhang Chuanwei. "I have several suggestions for Zhongshan's economic development. I hope that Zhongshan can be better connected with Shenzhen to participate in international industrial division of labor.”

At this session, Zhang Chuanwei will focus on such topics as the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and Zhongshan's high quality development, and he will suggest that giving priority to the inclusion of Zhongshan into the extended area of the Guangdong Pilot Free Trade Zone and the expansion of Zhongshan's Torch Development Zone, thus providing relevant policy support for Zhongshan's development, and helping Zhongshan to become a leading industrial city with strong innovation and talented experts as soon as possible.

"This year, I will continue to focus on the education of migrant workers' families, and I hope that this problem can attract more attention," said Mi Xueme. She plans to suggest that some areas in China should carry out pilot projects on the planning and allocation of educational resources so that there will be more educational resources in growing cities to ensure access to the nine-year compulsory education for the children of migrant workers in the country.
