"I will model myself after the border guards on the Karakorum Mountains and defend my country with enthusiasm!" On March 10, at the 2021 Zhongshan Spring Pre-service Conference, Liang Weihong, Liu Kun, Chen Jianxuan and other young candidates about to embark on military service in the Sichuan Plateau and Xinjiang border areas, stoically made pledges of their commitment.

In January this year, many young people actively responded to military conscription launched during the Spring Festival in Zhongshan. More than 4,900 people signed up, including over 2,400 college students and more than 520 college graduates.

Through strict selection, 245 eligible young people were selected to attend military camps across the country. Among them, 116 young candidates, including Liang Weihong, Liu Kun and Chen Jianxuan, took the initiative to submit written requests to go to the Sichuan Plateau and border areas in Xinjiang to guard China's borders.
