Zhongshan Food Culture Week to kick off

The Zhongshan Food Culture Week and the Cantonese Cuisine National Invitational Competition, parts of the Cantonese Cuisine Chef Program, jointly held by the Zhongshan People's Government, the Human Resources and Social Security Department of Guangdong Province and the China Cuisine Association, is about to kick off this coming weekend.

As one of many activities, the Zhongshan Top 10 Chefs Selection will be held first on March 20. A total of 20 chefs from across Zhongshan will compete for a spot in the top 10.

The Cantonese Cuisine National Invitational Competition will be held on March 21, with 80 participants from all over the country. Among them, there will be 60 chefs from outside Zhongshan.

In addition to free accommodation, arrangements have been made for participants to visit the Former Residence of Dr Sun Yat-sen, Chubang Soy Sauce Museum, Zuobu Village, Chen's Ancestral Hall in Chadong Village, and other places to learn more about Zhongshans culture.

Zhongshan will use the Cantonese Cuisine National Invitational Competition as an opportunity to develop its image as an icon of Cantonese Cuisine.
