Cheng Xueyuan, a Party group member and vice chairman of the All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese (ACFROC), accompanied by Xie Huirong, vice chairman of the Guangdong Province Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, visited the East District Overseas Chinese Home and the Zhongshan New Overseas Chinese Service Center on March 31 to investigate friendship activities and primary constructions of overseas Chinese federations in Zhongshan.

At the research and exchange meeting, Cheng Xueyuan and his delegation communicated with several overseas Chinese leaders in America through video and listened to their opinions. Cheng also briefly spoke on China's current progress regarding the epidemic, successes in poverty alleviation and economic and social development. Sun Bisheng, Sun Yat-sen's great-grandnephew, and other representatives of overseas Chinese leaders exchanged views with those present.

Ouyang Guiyou, a Standing Committee member and Organization Department director of the Zhongshan Municipal Party Committee, participated in the investigation. He said that Zhongshan will pay special attention to overseas fellowship work, serve overseas fellow villagers and returned overseas Chinese earnestly, and protect and make good use of resources for overseas Chinese. In particular, Zhongshan will strongly support the younger generation to promote Zhongshan's economic and social development.
