As the last 40-meter prefabricated box girder was installed on the No.194 pier capping beam, the land approach span of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Bridge, which is built by which was undertaken by China Railway Major Bridge Engineering Group, was fully joined up on May 6.

"The land approach span is 1.64 kilometers long. Its composition includes the main bridge, Ramp A, and Ramp B. A total of 636 pieces of 40-meter prefabricated box girders have been erected," said a responsible person of China Railway Major Bridge Engineering Group, adding that the completion of this step will provide a working place for the upcoming bridge deck and ancillary construction.

Judging from the current construction progress, the main structure of the land approach span will be completed by the end of this year.
