A theme activity was held at the Zhongshan Workers' Cultural Palace on the morning of May 15 to mark the 31st National Disabled Day on May 16.

At the activity, five livelihood projects for the disabled were launched: the unveiling of the National Cultural and Creative Industry Base for the Disabled, the signing of the Phoenix Health Project for the Disabled, the unveiling of the Guangdong Barrier-free Supervisor Training Base, the launch of a volunteer service project to provide accessible cooking for the poor and severely blind people in Zhongshan, and an awards ceremony for caring enterprises which help to employ the disabled.

The final of the Zhongshan Disabled Persons Federation System Singing Contest was also held. An outstanding group of disabled representatives presented wonderful performances to express their gratitude for the great developments in aid for disabled people.
