A grand gathering celebrating the centenary of the Communist Party of China was held at Tian'anmen Square at the heart of Beijing on July 1. Overseas Chinese representatives also attended the centenary celebration of the CPC.

Feng Jieyou, overseas member of the Guangdong Province Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese and president of the Chung Shan Society of Fiji (Western Region), was invited to Beijing to watch the grand gathering. "It was breath-taking! It was so inspiring!" Feng exclaimed. "since I learned that I can go to Beijing to watch the gathering, I had been looking forward to it every day."

At 5:16 on the morning of the celebration, Feng and other representatives went to the Tian'anmen Square together by car. "I was breath taken by the grand scene the moment I entered the square. There were so many red flags and flowers, and the huge Party emblem was very eye-catching."

Feng was so excited that tears brimmed in his eyes several times during the gathering. He said that he has more confidence in telling Chinese stories and spreading China's voice in the future.
