The west main tower of the Zhongshan Bridge of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Bridge sealed its top on the evening of August 8, marking the beginning of the superstructure construction.

At present, the west main tower of the Zhongshan Bridge reaches 206 meters tall and the remaining 7.5-meter steel crown will be installed on the top after the main bridge sections are joined.

The construction of the east main tower is close to completion with 192 meters finished so far. It is planned to be finished in September.

The Zhongshan Bridge, part of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Bridge on Zhongshan side, is a double-tower cable-stayed bridge with a total length of 1,170 meters and a main span of 580 meters. After completion, its main towers will be as high as 213.5 meters, which is equivalent to a 70-story building.

The Zhongshan Bridge has two main towers. The west tower is located on Tsuihang New District's Ma'an Island, while the east tower is located at Wanqingsha, Guangzhou's Nansha District.
