On the afternoon of September 14, Chen Yiwen, an athlete from Zhongshan, wins the championship in the Women's 3m Springboard final with 370.05 points at the 14th National Games.

Earlier in the Women's Synchronized 3m Springboard event, Chen and her teammate Wu Chunting won a bronze medal for Guangdong.

Zhang Xiurong, head of the diving coaching staff of Zhongshan Sports School, Chen's alma mater, sent her congratulations: "We are so proud of her. The victory today is the result of her hard work and I wish she will continue to bring glory to China and Zhongshan in the future."

Born in 1999, Chen Yiwen joined the diving team of Zhongshan Sports School in August 2008, got accepted into the Guangdong provincial diving team in 2014, and joined the national team in 2016.

Previously, Chen Yiwen and Quan Hongchan helped Guangdong win the Women's Diving Team championship for the first time in 20 years.
