The newly-completed Yakou-Beili section from of the Nanlang Expressway announced its trial operation on September 20.

"This will greatly alleviate traffic pressure on the national highway G228. The journey from Nanlang to Xiazha, Zhuhai city will be shortened by 10 kilometers, and the travel time can be cut to 25 minutes," a spokesperson of the Nanlang Expressway project said.

The main line of the Nanlang Expressway is expected to open to traffic by the end of this year.
