After approximately 27.5 hours of operation, the widening, ultra-wide pipe section E30 of the immersed tunnel of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Bridge was connected precisely with other pipe sections.

So far, 16 pipe sections have been installed, half of the total 32 immersed tunnel sections, with a combined length of 2,475.2 meters.

The immersed tunnel of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Bridge is about 6.8 kilometers long. About 5 kilometers is formed by immersed tubes, with 32 pipe sections and a final joint.
