The first steel box girder, weighing 490 tons, was installed on the Zhongshan Bridge of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Bridge on November 24, marking steady progress on the construction of the Zhongshan Bridge superstructure.

The Zhongshan Bridge is a two-tower, cable-stayed bridge that spans 580 meters with 69 steel box girders for the main part. The recently installed steel box girder is 4 meters tall, 12.4 meters long and 43.5 meters wide, and its size is as large as 1.3 international-standard basketball courts.
