The Nansha Port Railway plans to open by the end of this year. How is the construction going so far? "All the rail on the Zhongshan section have been laid, and the welding process has begun," said a spokesperson for China Railway 25th Bureau Group's Nansha Port Railway project.

So far, over 80% of the track on the entire Nansha Port Railway has been laid, and the project is moving closer towards the goal of opening freight transportation at the end of the year. Some 136 kilometers of two-way track from Heshan Station, Jiangmen to Nansha Station, Guangzhou has been laid.

There are 9 stations along the Nansha Port Railway, including Huangpu Station and Dongfeng Station in Zhongshan. Currently, the two stations in Zhongshan are still under construction. Huangpu Station will be the only station with both freight and passenger transportation functionality on the entire Nansha Port Railway.
