The "super-heavy and super-long" steel-cased E27 standard pipe section for the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Bridge underwater tunnel left the shipyard on December 6.

The E27 pipe section is 165 meters long, 10.6 meters high, and 46 meters wide. After pouring, it will weigh about 80,000 tons, and will displace the same amount of water as that of a heavy aircraft carrier.

The E27 pipe section will be installed early next year.
