The first plenary session of the 15th Zhongshan Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China was held on the afternoon of December 27.

During the meeting, Guo Wenhai, Xiao Zhanxin, Chen Wenfeng, Lin Ruixi, Li Changchun, Liu Canying, Ye Hongguang, Liu Meixin, Liu Zhimin, Liang Zicai and Lin Xianjin were elected as members of the standing committee of the CPC Zhongshan Municipal Committee. Guo Wenhai was elected secretary of the CPC Zhongshan Municipal Committee, and Xiao Zhanxin and Chen Wenfeng were elected deputy secretaries.

The report from the first plenary session of the 15th Zhongshan Discipline Inspection Committee of the CPC on the election results of the standing committee members, secretary and deputy secretaries of the municipal discipline inspection committee, as well as the resolution of the first plenary session of the 15th Zhongshan Municipal Committee of the CPC, were approved by voting at the meeting.

Guo Wenhai, the newly elected municipal Party secretary, made a speech at the meeting. He highlighted the importance of building united thinking and consensus, stimulating enthusiasm, and tapping into the potential of all Zhongshan citizens to make Zhongshan competitive for the future.
