After 8 hours of continuous operation, the first stay cable of the Zhongshan Bridge of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Bridge was installed on January 5.

Cable installation has now begun on the Zhongshan bridge, laying the foundation for the closure of the main section.

Zhongshan Bridge is a twin-tower cable-stayed bridge, which is one of the key project of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Bridge. Its main span is 580 meters long, with two main towers in the east and west.

The bridge has 120 stay cables, weighing a total of about 1,945 tons. The first stay cable installed is about 99 meters long and weighs about 4 tons.
