The first session of the 13th Zhongshan Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) opened at Zhongshan Conference Center on the morning of January 11.

He Cancheng, on behalf of the Standing Committee of the 12th CPPCC Zhongshan Municipal Committee, made a work report at the session.

The report reviewed the work of the past 5 years and put forward 6 suggestions for 2022.

First, faithfully perform our duties under the leadership of the Communist Party of China.

Second, take responsibility to complete decisive tasks and make greater efforts to promote high-quality development.

Third, focus on unity and democracy to achieve greater results together.

Fourth, improve people's livelihood and well-being more efficiently by performing our duties.

Fifth, explore more in establishing and improving duty performance system and mechanism reform through reforms and innovations.

Sixth, deepen team building around efficiency improvement and foundation consolidation.

Li Qing, entrusted by the Standing Committee of the 12th CPPCC Zhongshan Municipal Committee, made a report on proposal-related work since the first session of the 12th CPPCC Zhongshan Municipal Committee. Over the past 5 years, a total of 1,731 proposals have been submitted. Of them, 1,335 proposals (including 50 key ones) had been reviewed and put on record, including 1,049 from committee members, 248 from different democratic parties, 28 from mass organizations and 10 from various special committees, all of which had been managed and replied.

The meeting commended 15 outstanding proposals in 2021 from the 12th CPPCC Zhongshan Municipal Committee, including "Suggestions on Accelerating the Construction of '3+4' Major Industrial Platforms to Boost Zhongshan's Industrial Development".
