After completing the agenda, the first session of the 13th CPPCC Zhongshan Municipal Committee concluded on the morning of January 13.

The meeting called on CPPCC members to closely follow the five major objectives and tasks for the next five years, including the "major strategy", "two battlegrounds", "one writing", "five projects" and "one guarantee" aspects. CPPCC members were also called on to innovate the methods of performing duties and continuously improve the efficiency of the political process, supervision and participation in the administration and discussion of state affairs, and make greater contributions to Zhongshan's development.

The Resolution of the First Session of the 13th CPPCC Zhongshan Municipal Committee was approved by voting.

Liu Zhiwei, vice chairman of the CPPCC Zhongshan Municipal Committee, made a report on the collection of proposals during the session: As of 9 am on January 13, a total of 424 proposals were received from CPPCC members, including 71 ones from CPPCC participating organizations and special committees.

Guo Wenhai, secretary of the CPC Zhongshan Municipal Committee, delivered a closing speech. Zhuang Shujun, chairman of the CPPCC Zhongshan Municipal Committee, delivered a speech at the closing ceremony.

On the same day, an election was held for the chairman, vice chairmen, secretary general and standing committee members of the 13th CPPCC Zhongshan Municipal Committee. Zhuang Shujun was elected chairman. Xu Xiaoli, Lin Shaotang, Liu Zhiwei, Li Qing, Feng Jinyi, Ye Xinxiong, Xu Jian and Huang Zhenqiu vice chairmen, Li Xiaojian secretary general, and 54 persons including Wang Kaibing members of the standing committee.
