The main and auxiliary roads (excluding the Qisha Passage and Baixi Bridge) of the national highway G105 southern section, which was under reconstruction, opened to traffic on January 15.

"As of now, the remaining auxiliary projects are planned to be completed in June," said a staff member of Zhongshan Transportation Group.

The G105 southern section, which has 4 lanes in each direction, greatly improves the traffic capacity for West District, Shaxi Town, South District, Banfu Town and Sanxiang Town. Driving time from Zhongshan downtown areas to Sanxiang Town now is shortened to less than half an hour.
