Zhongshan Traffic Police announced on February 14 that Zhongshan's traffic performance index (TPI) in 2021 ranked 14th in Guangdong Province.

According to data released by Amap, the annual TPI of Zhongshan was 1.30 last year, a relatively good score which ranked 14th in Guangdong Province, and significantly lower than the highest index (1.41) in Guangdong Province; The average traffic speed was 36.6 km/h, higher than 13 prefecture-level cities.

In order to alleviate traffic congestion, Zhongshan Traffic Police has promoted "Smart Traffic System + Traffic Police Cavalry" control mode that combines "air, ground and intelligent traffic monitoring" to relieve traffic congestion and promote traffic management.
