The pilot cable crossed the river and connected the east and west towers of the Lingdingyang Bridge section of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Bridge on February 15. It is an important foundation for the installation of the traction system and erection of the catwalk of the superstructure.

Lingdingyang Bridge is one of the key components of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Bridge project. The bridge consists of three floating sections, connected through two main towers. The main span of the bridge is 1,666 meters and the main towers are 270 meters high, making it the longest-spanning offshore steel box girder suspension bridge in the world.
