The 40-day Spring Festival travel rush has concluded. This year, the travel rush in Zhongshan was safe, stable, and well-organized.

From January 17 to February 25, about 4.09 million passengers departed from Zhongshan, down 32.64% year-on-year. This includes 3.56 million roadway passengers, a yearly decrease of 33.31%, 0.53 million railway passengers, a yearly decrease of 26.37%, and about 100 waterway passengers, a yearly decrease of 99.34%. The expressway traffice flow during the Spring Festival travel rush dropped 27.9% to 11.13 million from a year earlier.

Due to the impact of COVID-19, the number of passengers during Spring Festival travel rush decreased, and the number of trips decreased greatly while travel costs increased. The average ticket price during the Spring Festival travel rush was 435.69 yuan, up 23.92% from last year's 351.58 yuan.
