On the morning of March 12, a ceremony to commemorate the 97th anniversary of Dr Sun Yat-sen's death was held in Zhongshan's Museum of Dr Sun Yat-sen.

Representatives from more than 40 units and organizations, including the CPC Zhongshan Municipal Committee, the Zhongshan Municipal People's Congress, the Zhongshan Municipal People's Government and the CPPCC Zhongshan Municipal Committee, as well as representatives of Sun Yat-sen's relatives, presented flower baskets to the portrait of Sun Yat-sen to remember his work for national independence, social progress, and people's happiness.

A book donation ceremony with the theme of "Museum Collection of Chinese and Foreign Archives around the 1911 Revolution" was also held.

It was also the 44th Arbor Day that day, and a tree planting activity was held at Difeng Mountain, Nanlang District. Participant planted two groves of trees to cherish the memory of Dr Sun Yat-sen.
