As the last lower chord was installed and erected, the left and right parts of the Qijiang River Bridge lower section had joined up on April 2. It marked the completion of all key construction parts of the lower bridge and the start of the construction on the steel structure of the upper section.

Qijiang River Bridge is expected to be completed by the end of September.
