Nansan Expressway (Nantou-Huangpu section) has been approved by the Zhongshan Development and Reform Bureau to be upgraded and is calling for construction bids.

The construction, with a total investment of over 2.4 billion yuan, plans to upgrade and improve Nansan Expressway's traffic efficiency.

The project spans across Nantou and Huangpu towns, with a total length of about 12.6 kilometers. The main roads will be built according to national two-way, six-lane highway and urban expressway standards. The designed speed limits on its main and auxiliary roads are 60 km/h and 40 km/h, 30 km/h respectively, and the roadbed widths are 47.5m and 60m, 65m respectively.

The project will bu finished in 3 sections. According to the bidding content, it is expected to start in May this year with the planned construction period of 18 months.
