The Ministry of Ecology and Environment reported on the national ambient air quality in March and from January to March 2022 on April 20.

Among 168 key cities in China, Haikou, Lhasa, Zhoushan, Huangshan, Lijiang, Shenzhen, Huizhou, Zhuhai, Zhongshan and Guiyang had relatively good air quality in March..

From January to March, the ambient air quality in Zhongshan ranked 17th in China, ranking in the 'excellent' tier.

Zhongshan has been strengthening the establishment of a national pilot low-carbon city through exploring carbon inclusion and near-zero carbon emission development projectsm. Meanwhile, Zhongshan is promoting the construction of carbon-neutral pilot areas in Tsuihang New District and Shenwan Town.
