Shenzhen-Zhongshan Bridge construction forges ahead

The construction of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Bridge is pushing ahead in an orderly manner. The East and the West Artificial Islands are under steady construction, the cable strands of the Lingdingyang Bridge are being erected, the steel box girders of the Zhongshan Bridge are expected to be connected at the end of June, and the 26th pipe section of the immersed tunnel has been installed.

The Shenzhen-Zhongshan Bridge is expected to be completed and open to traffic in 2024. The bridge connects to an immersed tunnel in the east and bridge sections in the west, with a total length of 24 kilometers. It is a combination of bridges, artificial islands, tunnels and underground interchanges, and it will be a superproject in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. Upon completion, it will become a direct channel connecting the east and west banks of the Pearl River Delta.
