Affected by incoming water from the middle and upper reaches of the Xijiang River and Beijiang River and tidal influences, the water levels of Zhongshan's rivers continued to rise, and that of the rivers in some measurement stations even exceeded the warning level. The flood and tidal level of Yinggezui Gauging Station in Dongfeng Town reached a peak of 4.56 meters at 12:55 on June 15, which is also the highest flood and storm surge levels of the Xijiang and Beijiang Rivers in Zhongshan since 2008.

As of 15:00 on June 15, the water level of 11 measurement stations in Zhongshan exceeded the warning level, and Shilong Station in Xiaolan Town saw the largest water level difference between inside and outside of the floodgate (3.84 meters).

Zhongshan has attached great importance to flood control, early scientific prevention, and in-depth inspection, and sent personnel from relevant departments for 24/7 monitoring, taking timely preventive measures. Towns along the river have strengthened dike inspections, made emergency preparations, and evacuated citizens from medium-high risk flood control areas.

Some 1,012 people in the city were evacuated from dangerous areas and no reports of any disasters have been received.
