Hengsanchong Sluice, the first riverside water conservancy regulation project in the east Tsuihang New District, has been completed and put into use.

The sluice is a medium-sized water conservancy project with flood control, tide blocking, flood drainage, water storage and other functions.

Hengsanchong Sluice is one of the six new tidal gates planned to be built at the river estuary. It is designed in accordance with hundred-year flood (tide) prevention and 30-year waterlogging control standards.

With a modern appearance, Hengsanchong Sluice is also a landmark building in the east Tsuihang New District (Ma'an Island).
