On October 21, Guangdong Provincial Communication Group announced the successful installation of pipe section E22 on the underwater tunnel section of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Bridge.

E22 is a standard pipe section with a length of 165 meters. Its smooth installation will be a precondition of the closure of the tunnel.

A total of 31 pipe sections, including E1-E22 on the west side and E24-E32 on the east side, have been installed, with a total length of 4,867.8 meters. A new world record was set regarding the speed and accuracy of the transportation and installation of the pipes.
