A mobilization conference on building a National Civilized City was held at the Zhongshan Convention Center on the morning of January 9. At the conference, the fifth list and nomination list of Zhongshan Moral Models were released, followed by the award ceremony.

Ten persons made the Zhongshan Moral Models list, and 11 made the nomination list. These outstanding people include artists who have been devoted to promoting the art of paper-cut, community residents who have been ready to help others but asked for nothing in return, industry pioneers who have overcome difficulties and made innovations, ordinary people who have never hesitated to help others regardless of their personal safety… They have practiced socialist core values by action and showed Zhongshan people's positive mental outlook.
