The second plenary meeting of the third session of the 16th Zhongshan Municipal People's Congress was held on the afternoon of February 8, marking the successful conclusion of the session.

The meeting voted through the Draft Resolution on the Work Report of the Zhongshan Municipal People's Government and other draft resolutions. Zhongshan's top 10 livelihood projects for 2023 were announced by vote. The meeting decided to adopt the Motion on Upholding the Leading Role of Manufacturing and Promoting the High-quality Development of Manufacturing jointly submitted by 19 deputies including Li Jianbiao, convert the other 40 proposals into suggestions, comments and opinions and transfer them to relevant bodies and organizations for deliberation and handling.

The attendees watched a video on Zhongshan's three major tasks (style change of officials, renovation of low-efficiency industrial parks and water pollution treatment).
