"The supplies from Zhongshan just arrived in Guangzhou this afternoon, and they will be delivered in time to the quake-hit areas in Turkey," said Feng Junfeng, director of the Zhongshan Linshe Social Work Service Center on the afternoon of January 13.

After a devastating earthquake hit Turkey on February 6, many warm-hearted people in Zhongshan, at the call of the Chinese Embassy in Turkey, donated 590 pairs of winter boots, which are in transit.

Among the boots 490 pairs were donated by an enterprise, and the other 100 pairs were from the Zhongshan Linshe Social Work Service Center and other people.

The second batch of disaster relief supplies, including disinfection and sanitation products, will be raised and delivered to Syria to support local post-disaster reconstruction.
