According to the data released by the Zhongshan Investigation Team of the National Bureau of Statistics, the urban-rural income ratio of Zhongshan residents continued to decline from 1.51 in 2018 to 1.43 in 2022, remaining the lowest in Guangdong for five consecutive years.

In 2022, the per capita disposable income of urban residents in Zhongshan stood at 62,196 yuan, up 27.4% from 2018; and the per capita disposable income of rural residents was 43,490 yuan, up 34.8% from 2018.

In recent years, Zhongshan has built a moderately prosperous society in all aspects, won the battle against poverty, steadily increased the income of urban and rural residents, and achieved new results in common prosperity by constantly promoting the coordinated development of urban and rural areas, and thoroughly implementing the rural revitalization strategy as well as policies for employment and entrepreneurship, livelihood guarantee and targeted poverty alleviation.
