A special thank-you banquet was held on April 2 in Baiqi Village, Nanlang District in Zhongshan. Huang Xianxing, who had spent 36 years overseas, returned to his hometown with his wife Gan Hongfang and gave a banquet to villagers, relatives and friends. Over 500 people attended the banquet, of which over 100 specially returned from Hong Kong and Macao.

The brothers of Huang Weiqiang and Huang Xianxing left their hometown in 1987 and started their career in the catering business in Peru. Later, they moved to the US for further development together with their families.

Huang Xianxing and his wife have a 100-acre farm in Hawaii and run two companies to mainly produce and sell vegetables.

It was 1994 the couple returned to their hometown last time. They say they have learned to be grateful after all those years abroad. They want to build a bridge of communication with their hometown and fellow villagers through this banquet.

A lion dance show is performed under a 100-year tree to enliven the banquet.
