On April 21, Ouyang Jinquan, Vice Mayor of Zhongshan, met with Hosseinali Darvishi Motevalli, Consul General of Iran in Guangzhou, to explore friendly exchanges and cooperation between Zhongshan and Iran.

Ouyang Jinquan mentioned that many lighting enterprises in Zhongshan have participated in illuminating projects of five-star hotels among other important venues in Middle East countries, and therefore he expected that closer economic and trade cooperation between Zhongshan and Iranian enterprises will be facilitated in the future. 

Mr. Darvishi hoped that Iran would further strengthen exchanges and cooperation with Zhongshan in new energy, chemical industry, biomedicine, culture and tourism. As Iran is a visa-free destination for Chinese visitors, he extended his warm welcome to Zhongshan citizens for visiting Iran.

Following the meeting, Mr. Darvishi also visited Cuiheng New District and Torch Development Zone to learn about the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Bridge, the new energy industry in Zhongshan as well as Zhongshan National Health Technology Park.
