On May 10, with the pouring of the last truckload of concrete, the piling of the Wanqingsha interchange of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Bridge (or Shenzhong Link) came to an end. To date, all the 822 piles for Lot S06 of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Bridge have been in place, marking the start of the above-ground structure construction of the interchange.

Seen from above, the Wanqingsha interchange looks like a "trumpet" and consists of 5 ramps. Three of them belong to the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Bridge, and the other two belong to the Nansha-Zhongshan Highway.

The Wanqingsha interchange will greatly facilitate public travel among Zhongshan, Guangzhou's Nansha and Shenzhen. Now it is an about 1.5 hours' ride from downtown Zhongshan to Nansha District via Panyu-Zhongshan Road. After the opening of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Bridge, it will take one hour less to drive to Nansha via the Wanqingsha interchange.
