From June 24 to 30, Xiao Zhanxin, Mayor of Zhongshan, led a delegation to Singapore and Japan to promote Zhongshan's investment environment and boost friendly exchanges and cooperation.

In Singapore, Xiao attended the 13th Meeting of the Singapore-Guangdong Collaboration Council and the China (Guangdong)-Singapore Economic and Trade Cooperation Conference. The Bayon Medical Device Industrial Park of Cuiheng New District was unveiled as a signed project of the Singapore-Guangdong Collaboration Council, and two Singapore-invested projects with a total investment of 370 million yuan were included as outcomes of the Cooperation Conference.

Xiao communicated with representatives of associations, chambers of commerce and enterprises. He introduced the advantages of such industries in Zhongshan as bio-medicine, digital economy and intelligent manufacturing, and invited Singaporean enterprises to invest in Zhongshan.

Xiao held talks with RSI International Consultants Pte. Limited, Ascott Limited, OUE Group and other Singaporean enterprises, and inspected the industrial park, the science city, the  health city and the next-generation neighborhood center.

In Japan, Xiao visited Moriguchi, Osaka, one of Zhongshan's international sister cities, where he met with Mayor Kenichi Seno.

Xiao met with Xiao Jingru, President of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Japan, and visited Mitsubishi Electric Corporation and Mitsui Chemicals Corporation for project cooperation negotiation.

During the trip, the Zhongshan delegation also called on Liu Zhonggan, President of the Chung Shan Association (Singapore), Zhu Bishan, Dean of Shu-yu Language School in Osaka, Japan, and other outstanding persons from Zhongshan.
