A Eurasian crane and 3 oriental storks were recorded in the wetland area in Cuiheng New District (Nanlang District) from November 28 to 29. Eurasian crane is a national second-class protected animal, and oriental stork is a national first-class protected animal that has visited Zhongshan many times.

Cuiheng New District (Nanlang District), currently implementing the "Green and Beautiful Ecology" campaign, attracts many migratory birds in recent years. According to incomplete statistics, nearly 10 species of national first-class and second-class protected animals have been recorded in the district, including oriental stork, black-faced spoonbill, Eurasian crane, Eurasian spoonbill, relict gull, and eastern marsh harrier.
