The expansion project of Hengmen Sewage Treatment Plant in Cuiheng New District was put into operation on January 3.

Currently, Hengmen Sewage Treatment Plant is able to deal with 100,000 tons of waste water per day, and the water quality can consistently meet the Class I-A discharge standard.

Cuiheng New District has an approximate population of 150,000, and the Hengmen treatment plant can fulfill the needs of up to 300,000 people.

In the future, Hengmen Sewage Treatment Plant plans to reuse recycled water to effectively enhance the water quality of Nanlang District.
