After the second plenary meeting, the fourth session of the 16th Zhongshan Municipal People's Congress concluded on February 3.

The session approved by voting the resolutions on the work report of the Zhongshan Municipal People's Government, the implementation of the economic and social development plan for 2023 and the 2024 development plan, the budget implementation in 2023 and the budget plan for 2024, the work report of the Standing Committee of the Zhongshan Municipal People's Congress, the work report of the Zhongshan Intermediate People's Court, and the work report of the Zhongshan People's Procuratorate.

The session included the election of members of the Standing Committee of the 16th Zhongshan Municipal People's Congress and the director of the Municipal Supervisory Committee. Li Changchun was elected as the deputy director of the Standing Committee of the 16th Zhongshan Municipal People's Congress, and Cao Xin was elected as the director of the Municipal Supervisory Committee. The newly elected members received certificates and took a constitutional oath.

The session also selected Zhongshan's top 10 people's livelihood projects for 2024, and decided the motion raised by 13 deputies including Zhao Guixiang became the No.1 motion. The other 33 motions will be turned into suggestions, criticisms and opinions and will be submitted to relevant institutions and organizations for further study and handling.
