May 23 marked the fifth match day of the 2024 National Diving Championships.

In the final of women's single 1m springboard, Lin Shan from Zhongshan Sports School clinched the championship with a total score of 286.65.

It was Lin Shan's third individual gold medal in this National Diving Championships. Previously on May 19, she and her teammate Zhu Zifeng won the mixed synchronized 3m springboard championship with a total score of 304.08 points. On May 22, she won the women's single 3m springboard gold medal with a total score of 341.25 points.

Based on total score, Lin Shan also secured the gold medal in the women's team event.
