Xiangshan 1, the first shield tunneling machine in the Zhongshan section construction of the Nansha-Zhongshan Intercity Railway, started operation on May 31 from the Hengmen shaft to Xiangshan Station.

The Hengmen shaft is situated in Hengmen Community, Nanlang Sub-district. The left shield-driven tunnel section from the Hengmen shaft to Xiangshan Station starts here.
