During the 1st International Agricultural Forum recently held in Thailand, Zhongshan promoted its special Zhongshan Shelduck overseas for the first time.

Zhongshan Shelduck is the only duck species listed in the Guangdong Local Livestock and Poultry Genetic Resources. It has such features as high egg production, tolerance to roughage, easy fattening, and good meat quality. Additionally, it has high nutritional value and is suitable for cooking Cantonese-style delicacies.

Currently, the conservation farm in Zhongshan can supply over 15,000 Zhongshan Shelducks to local enterprises and farmers per year.
