China's Chen Yiwen and Chang Yani won the women's synchronised 3m springboard event at the Paris Olympics on the evening of July 27, Beijing time, with an impressive total score of 337.68 points.

This is Guangdong's first Olympic gold medal in the women's synchronized 3m springboard diving event, and also Zhongshan's first summer Olympic gold medal.

"We made it!" After the game, Chen Yiwen and Chang Yani embraced each other.

Far away in Zhongshan, Chen Yiwen's parents and elder sister, as well as teachers and students of Zhongshan Sports School witnessed her gold medal-winning moment.

Born in 1999, Chen Yiwen joined the diving team of Zhongshan Sports School in 2008. She was selected to the provincial diving team in 2012 and national diving team in 2016.
