"We have invited 40 enterprises in Zhongshan to go to Vietnam for business exchanges and establish a brand alliance with Alibaba's branch companies on October 26. We also provide internet-based promotion services and market insight reports for member enterprises and help them figure out their growth direction", said Deng Yuhua, president of the Dongfeng Cross-border E-commerce Association and chairman of Seyas company.

As China's first small home appliances industry base, Dongfeng is home to numerous small home appliances manufacturers and supply chain resources. The Dongfeng Cross-border E-commerce Association was founded in August 2023 to encourage traditional foreign trade enterprises to transform into new form of foreign trade enterprises.

The association provides full support and assistance for enterprises by linking cross-border resources and carrying out a series of cross-border e-commerce activities, including exchanges, training, product selection, factory visits, video promotions and innovation competition. From January to August this year, a total of 280 companies in Dongfeng participated in 50 exhibitions at home and abroad.

In the context of globalized trade, cross-border e-commerce plays an important role in promoting Zhongshan's export-oriented economy. Data provided by Zhongshan Bureau of Commerce show that from January to August this year, Zhongshan's online retail sales exceeded 75 billion yuan, up 20% year on year. The amount of cross-border e-commerce orders declared reached 1.06 billion yuan, and local enterprises had opened over 10,000 cross-border e-commerce shops.
