Maonan Road (Zhongshan-Kaiping Expressway to Shizhen Road), an important passage connecting Zhongshan's Torch High-tech Zone and Cuiheng New District, has made new progress, as the tunneling construction has recently started.

Maonan Road spans 1.68 kilometers. It is a two-way six-lane Class-1 highway (urban road), with a design speed of 80 kmph.
