The 2024 Greater Bay Area (Zhongshan) Printing & Packaging Industry Exchange Conference was held in Zhongshan on November 7, with representatives of the China Packaging Federation and industry associations in Guangdong and GBA cities attending.

The event highlighted such topics as the digital, intelligent and green development of the printing and packaging industry. Industry leaders from such enterprises as INKJ Digital, Manroland and Guangzhou Xyerp Tech and experts and scholars were invited to deliver speeches and share experiences, showcasing enterprises' achievements in digital transformation and latest printing technology and equipment, as well as to engage in in-depth discussions on improving production efficiency and product quality through intelligent and network technologies.

As of 2023, Zhongshan had nearly 2,000 printing and packaging enterprises, with a total industrial output value of 23.856 billion yuan. The numbers ranked fourth and fifth province-wide, respectively. The national packaging and printing production base located in Zhongshan's Torch High-tech Zone had been home to more than 50 packaging and printing enterprises.
